Zadie Pearl Harlan, age 89, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Spring Meadows Health Care Center in Clarksville.
Zadie was born on February 23, 1930, to Humbert and Flora Ann Sanders in Bonnertown, TN. She was a strong woman of faith who always volunteered to teach Sunday school classes, and worked as the church secretary. Zadie was a devoted housewife who worked hard as an administer for the family business. She enjoyed sewing, arts, and crafts, along with spending time outside in her garden. Most of all, she loved her family and was a wonderful mother and dedicated grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Zadie is survived by her daughters: Sandra Danette (Tommy) Winn and Patricia Gail (Jimmy) Harris; grandchildren: James Christopher (Jessica) Harris, Jennifer Ann Muerer, Joshua Wayne (Brandy) Winn, and Michael Harlan (Kelsey) Winn; great-grandchildren: Jake Thomas Muerer, Christopher Lane Harris, Ella Ann Muerer, Emma Claire Winn, and Alaina Faith Winn. Zadie is preceded in death by her husband, James Collis Harlan, her son, James Ronald Harlan and two brothers Bobby Joyce Sanders and William Lesa Sanders.
A service celebrating Zadie’s life will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2019, beginning at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M till service time.
