Zachary "Zack" Wade Sharpe

Zachary “Zack” Wade Sharpe, age 29, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 9, 2014.

Zack was the son of Wesley Wade Sharpe and Stacy Lynn Jones Sharpe and was born on March 12, 1984 in Columbia, Tennessee. He was a 2002 graduate of Hampshire School and had also attended Lewis County High School prior to his graduation. He worked for Highways Incorporated as a heavy equipment operator.

On November 5, 2010 Zack married Karissa Odom and they began a family together. He was a very devoted father, husband and brother. He was a member of Sandy Hook Church of Christ. He loved to hunt and fish since the time he was just a boy and enjoyed it all the way through to adulthood. He never cared if he was hunting whitetail or turkey. His favorite hunting place was Swan Creek.

Zack loved playing baseball and watching football on television. He was a man with a huge heart. He loved to eat, especially turnip greens.

Life changed Zack when he became the best father to Kenna, who always followed in his footsteps. He will most definitely be missed by his best friend, Kenna. Life changed once again for Zack, with the birth of his son Kasen just 5 months ago.

Zack is survived by his wife: Karissa Odom Sharpe of Mt. Pleasant; daughter and son: Kenna Leigh Sharpe and Kasen Wade Sharpe of Mt. Pleasant; father: Wade (Sue) Sharpe of Pulaski; mother: Stacy Sharpe of Hohenwald; sister: Jennifer Sharpe of Murfreesboro; grandmother: Betty Jones; aunts and uncles: Nancy (Don) Graham, James (Marilyn) Sharpe, Pat (Kenneth) Carroll and Bridgett Jones; several cousins and mother-in-law: Christina (Keith) Cummins. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Jerry Jones, Wesley Sharpe, Sr., Jeanette Sharpe and by his father-in-law: Kenneth Odom.

Funeral services for Zack will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Ricky Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Kittrell Cemetery on Big Swan Creek Road in Hampshire, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 12, 2014.

Shae Duberry, Scooter McKennon, Bo Sharpe, Jason Sharpe, Wesley Graham, Jason Cannon and Marty Carroll will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Carroll, Jr., Mitchell Jones, Michael Odom, Troy Brewer, Danny Wicker, Randall Hickman, Bobby McGloffin and Kendall Pugh.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family at Williams Funeral Home, P. O. Box 38, Columbia, Tennessee to assist with funeral expenses.
