Mrs. Winnie L. Kelley, age 98, a resident of East Eighth Street, passed away Tuesday, January 30, in Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kelley will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 -9:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
The Giles Co. native was the daughter of the late Newton and Nettie Watkins. She was the widow of the late Horace Kelley who passed away on January 15, 1975. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ebenezer Community Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Christine Crews of Shady Grove and Mary Sue Brown of Columbia; three granddaughters: Carol Joe Shelby of Shady Grove, Carolyn Johnson and Lomna Morton, both of Columbia; great-grandchildren: Joseph Shelby and Albert Shelby, both of Shady Gove, Amanda Martin, Tommy Martin and Lonnie Martin, all of Columbia; two great-great-grandchildren: Tyler Martin and Makayla Martin, both of Columbia; special friends: Tommy Bryant, Calvin Bryant and Leonard Labraney; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Richard Watkins and five sisters: Mary Horn, Susie Weatherford, Jose Estes, Mae Crews and Sabre Watkins.
Pallbearers will be Robert Bryant, Floyd Morton, Joseph Shelby, Albert Shelby, Calvin Bryant, Lonnie Martin and Leonard Labraney.
