Wilma Lawhorn Johns

Mrs. Wilma E. Lawhorn Johns, 75 , a long time resident of Naydonlin Drive in Columbia, passed away Monday, October 23, 2006 at Columbia Care and Rehab.

Funeral services for Mrs. Johns will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 25 at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend W. D. Thomason and Reverend Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 4:00 ? 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Rufus and Pearl Ward Lawhorn. She was the widow of William T. Johns. Mrs. Johns was a waitress at Buckey?s, Lucille?s and Shoney?s restaurants, also worked as a CNT at Bel-Aire Nursing Home and worked at Weather Tamer in Columbia. She was a member of the West End Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children , Donna Rick Rickman of Thompson Station, Mitchell Judy Johns, Pam Steadman and Debbie McNabb all of Columbia; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia Johns of Columbia; three brothers, R.J. Lawhorn of Enterprise, AL, James Lawhorn and Sammy Lawhorn both of Pulaski. She was preceded in death by one sister, Polly and one brother, Thomas Lawhorn.

Active pallbearers will be Mike Johns, Billy Johns, Larry Johns, Nathan Johns, Aaron Johns, Keith Lawhorn, Luke McCoy and Randy Fitzgerald
