Wilma Jean Capley Jenkins

Mrs. Wilma Jean Capley Jenkins, age 81, passed away at Southern Hills Medical Center on September 29, 2014.

Jean was born on August 25, 1933 to the late Morris Capley and the late Hattie Bradford Capley. She was the widow of William Thomas Jenkins. She was a retired editor for the Baptist Sunday School Board (now known as Lifeway). She was a dedicated member of St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sister: Shirley Ann Capley of Columbia, Tennessee; sons: Steve (Kim) Jenkins of Nashville and John Jenkins; grandchildren: Daniel Jenkins, Grace Welsh, Stephanie Clopeck and Steven Jenkins; great-grandchildren: Ziggy, Zappa, Zen and Zella Welsh, Vinzent and Michael Clopeck and Alex, Ben and Johnathan Jenkins.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Church at 601 Bell Road, Antioch, TN 37013, with Rev. John C. Henrick officiating. The family will visit with friends from 9:00 a.m. until time for the service at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens, 6465 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401 also on Saturday.
