William “Willie Joe” Joseph Wilcox III, age 57 of Linden, Tennessee, passed away at his home on April 8, 2013.
“Willie Joe” was born to the late William Wilcox, Sr. and Eva Howell Wilcox in Toledo, Ohio, on December 30, 1955. He was a member of the catholic faith and was employed with Rengis Oil Company, garage door installation, and asbestos restoration. William was always such a huge UT Vols fan. He was the peacemaker who loved peace and quiet and had a constant warming smile on his face. He loved going to the river and fishing, listening to music, and watching NASCAR.
The memorial service for William J. Wilcox III will be Thursday, April 11, at 6:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the funeral home on Thursday.
Survivors for William include: His wife, Brenda Wilcox of Linden; three sons: Waylon James (Cecilia) Wilcox, Brian Scott (Kendra) Wilcox, and Brandon Michael (Jackie) Wilcox; six grandchildren: Jaycob Wilcox, Isabella Wilcox, Levi Wilcox, Hayden Wilcox, Haley Wilcox, and Zoe Wilcox; two sisters: Tina Wilcox and Patricia Counts; one sister-in-law, Wanda Thompson; one brother, Mike Wilcox, brother-in-law Larry (Mary) Thompson; one nephew, Jessie Thompson; two cousins, Tommy (Linda) Tucker and Jimmy (Wanda) Tucker; several nieces and nephews also survive him.
