Willie Viola Johnson Raney, 90, of Cheyenne Trail, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at her residence.
She is survived by a sister: Mary H. Grimes of Columbia and several nieces and nephews: Tony Grimes Gulf Port, FL, Derl Grimes Melbourne, FL, Danny Grimes NC, James Grimes Brevard, NC, Linda Martin Columbia, Hilda Hunnicutt Columbia, Mary Jo Pedigo Houston, TX, Catherine Warf Cincinnati, OH, and Barbara Hodge Columbia. She was preceded in death by a niece, Delores Grimes Ellis. Several great-nieces and great-nephews survive.
The Weakley Co, TN native was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Lillie Wittaker Johnson, and widow of Lester Raney. She was a housewife and affiliated with the Southern Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 19 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
