Willie D. Howard

Willie D. Howard, 87, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2023. He was born on April 14, 1935, in Lewisburg, TN, to the late John and Mary Martha Howard.

Willie was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed working on cars and boats. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and rooted for his favorite driver, Mark Martin. In his free time, Willie enjoyed fishing on the Warrior and Tennessee Rivers. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War and served four years in the military.

Willie will be remembered for his love of cars and boats, his kindness and generosity, and for his willingness to help others. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Willie is reunited with his wife: Martha Howard; children: David Howard, Donna Howard, Ramona Howard, and Tracy Howard; and his parents.

Willie leaves his legacy behind in his children: Paula (Rick) Sanders, Leigh Ann Jones (Richard); Wanda (Bob) Stockard, Tony Howard, Melinda Collins, and Joan Howard; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Stacey, Bryon Brady, Justin Jones, Jason Jones, and Jonathon Brady.

A service for Willie will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Leland Ping officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee from 12:00 PM to the start of the service. Willie will be laid to rest next to his wife at Haynes Cemetery in Culleoka, Tennessee.
