Willie E. Elliott

Mrs. Willie E. Springer Elliott, age 88, a resident of Brentwood Pointe in Brentwood and former resident of Summertown, passed away on Thursday, August 21st, at NHC/Franklin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Elliott will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, August 23, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Daniel Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in the Summertown Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Born in Hickman County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mattie Cagle Springer and wife of the late Robert E. Lee Elliott. She was a homemaker and a member of Summertown Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son: Tony Shirley Elliott of Summertown; daughters: Sandy Steve Glenn of Booneville, MS and Gloria Elliott of Brentwood; a brother Reed Springer of Nunnelly; a sister: Claudine Clay of Centerville; grandchildren: Lynnette Sparkman, Jackie Curry, Jamie Curry, Joanna Rogers, Adam Glenn, Zachary Glenn, Kelsey Glenn, Toni Hinson, Mindy Garland, Marina Keplinger; 18 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; a special niece: Retha Duncan. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jean Curry; two grandchildren: Wendy Elliott and Brenda Marshall; 4 brothers and 3 sisters

Pallbearers will be Adam Glenn, Zachary Glenn, Dwayne Sparkman, Heath Hinson, Justin Garland and Daniel Keplinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Hardin, Donald Ratcliff, Mrs. Rose Rudolph, Sybil Boren and Susie Bailey.
