William Wayne "Peck" Parsons

July 11, 1933 — February 25, 2006

Mr. William Wayne ?Peck? Parsons, 72, a resident of Canaan Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2006, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Parsons will be conducted Monday, February 27, 2006 at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Earl Hocker officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home with a Masonic service to be conducted at 7:00 pm.

The Maury County native was the son of the late Joseph C. and Bessie Lee Pruitt Parsons and the husband of Mary Alice Jones Parsons. He was a former longtime employee of Conalco, retired from the maintenance department at Smelter Service and a member of the Masonic Lodge #610 in Mt. Pleasant.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Patricia Tony Davis and Loretta Rick Byrd, both of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Barbara Joe Parsons of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Jason Jenny Davis and Holly Davis, both of Nashville, Will Byrd and Kate Byrd, both of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by nine sisters and three brothers.




Pallbearers will be Jason Davis, Mike Adams, Larry Thompson, Tad Cummins, Floyd ?English? Parsons and Gary Quinn. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Smelter Service, former employees of Conalco, the Morning Coffee Drinkers of McDonalds in Mt. Pleasant and the Masonic Lodge #610 in Mt. Pleasant.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Oncology Department of Maury Regional Hospital.
