Mr. William R. ?Mr. Bill? Davis, 70, a resident of 1st Ave. in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis will be conducted Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with
Reverend J.D. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Nelson County, KY, he was the son of the late James C. and Mary Alice Cusick Davis and husband of Emma Sue Eastep Davis. He was a retired parts clerk with Tennessee Aluminum and ran the Wren Hardware Store in Mt. Pleasant. He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Ronnie Davis of Bloomfield, KY; five daughters, Susan Steve Link of Shepherdsville, KY, Kathy Eddie Ulery and Sherry Jerome Mudd, both of Louisville, KY, Sherrie Norman and Traciee Terry Stafford of Hampshire; a sister, Dottie Berry of Woodlawn, KY; a brother, Jim Jeannie Davis of Prospect, KY; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friends, Denise Sisk and Melissa Malone, both of Columbia and J.T. of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Davis.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Norman, Terry Stafford, Jerome Mudd, Corey Mudd, Eddie Ulery and Marcus Ulery. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Wren, John Hatcher, friends of the Pool Room, Bessie?s Country Store and Mill Hollow.
Memorials may be made to Community First in his honor.
