William R. "Billy" Love

Mr. William Ray ?Bill? Love, age 75, a resident of Westover Drive, passed away on Monday, November 20, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral Services for Mr. Love will be conducted Wednesday at 2:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. James Moore and Rev. J.C. Holt, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Joseph Anderson Love and Altha Satterfield Love. He was married on April 6, 1952, to Martha Holt Love, who survives. He was self employed as a general contractor and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Air Force with a tour of duty in Germany. Mr. Love was for many years a scout leader and cofounder and lifetime member of the Maury County Arts Guild. He was very interested in genealogy, having published a book on the Love family which was placed in the Mormon Archives. He was a friend, mentor and charitable giver to many.
Survivors in addition to his wife include a son, William R. Jana Love, Jr., of Santa Fe; a daughter, Debbie Holt Moore of Columbia; eight grandchildren, Jason Holt, Kelly Holt, Jon Holt, Katie Holt, Jacob Misty Love, Joshua Love, Drew Love and Hannah Love; four great-grandchildren, Bradley Love, Hailey Love, Maddie Carroll and Sydney Holt; two sisters, Carole Hendrix of Marion, TX and Joan Foster of Murfreesboro; a brother, Richard Love of Seguin, TX.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Rema Davis, Katherine Brannan, Ruth Goad, Mary Trahan and Eva Faye Love and four brothers, Cecil Ellis Love, Joseph Samuel Love, David Bennett Love and Thomas Edward Love.
Pallbearers will be Jason Holt, Jon Holt, Jacob Love, Joshua Love, Drew Love and Johnny Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Jones, Allan McCanless, George Holt, Ted Sisco, Bobby Jones, Chris Brock, Dr. Shawn Reed, Ricky Estep, Jimmy Lott, Gene Foster, Sr., and Gene Foster, Jr., Dr. Moataz Toban, the Staff of Columbia Care and Rehab and Maury Regional ICU and step down.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association of Tennessee, One Vantage Way, Suite C-250, Nashville, TN 37228.
