William “W.M.” Marshall Carroll, Jr., age 93, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
W.M. was born on February 26, 1924 in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to the late William Marshall Carroll, Sr. and Emma Stuart Carroll. He served in the Army Air Corp. during WWII. He was married to the late Betty Morton Carroll. W.M. was a member of Southgate Church of Christ. He enjoyed golf, fishing, and served as a Scout leader. W.M. was a loving husband and father.
W.M. is survived by his son Randall “Randy” (Joanne) Carroll and William “Bill” (Patsy) Carroll; grandchildren Gina Carroll, Jeffery (Brittney) Carroll, Patrick (Lauren) Carroll, Levi (Caliegh) Carroll, Kasey Carroll, Mae Carroll, Harvey Kanayurak, Brian Oenga, Clarise Enciso, Brysen Dicke, Martina Clem, Ryan (Sarah) Hardin, and Keri (Nathan) Doud; and great grandchildren Maddeline Carroll; Jake, Zada, and Lily Hardin; and Delaney, Piper, and Sawyer Doud.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Joe Macer officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19.
W.M. was preceded in death by his wife Betty Carroll, parents William Marshall Carroll, Sr. and Emma Carroll, sister Rachel Rollins, and brother Robert LeRoy Carroll.
Pallbearers will be Tom Miller, Patrick Carroll, Jeffery Carroll, Ryan Hardin, Levi Carroll, and Benny Morton.
Honorary pallbearers are Doug Frazier, Donald White, Jason Weaver, Mike Bassett, Charlie Ring, Lee Baker, and Homer G’Fellers.
