William P. "Pete" Trousdale Jr.

William P. (Pete) Trousdale, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior Sept. 4, 2013. Born August 10, 1946, Pete was the son of Evelyn Finley Trousdale and the late William P. Trousdale Sr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at William’s Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. With Bro. Ezell Rose and Bro. Jimmy Nave officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and again from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 41 years, Deena; son William (Daphne) Trousdale, III; grandchildren Deanna and Will Trousdale; mother Evelyn Trousdale; brother Sonny (Patty) Trousdale; niece Misty (Jeffery) Skelton and children Ansley Roberts, Finley and Gunner Skelton; nephew Patrick (Sara Catherine) Trousdale and children Skyler and Gracie.
He is also survived by his devoted niece Karin (Steven) Shewbart and special nephews Samuel, Seth and Spencer Shewbart and Kevin Sims; John (Alissa) Nolan and children Haley, Alivia and Ella; loving sisters-in-law Donna Nolan and Rita (Tom) Sims Hughes.
Pete was employed by Industrial Products in Mt. Pleasant for many years. He was an over-the-road truck driver. He loved listening to sermons and gospel music on his radio. Pete loved spending time out on the water with his family fishing and boating. He also spent countless hours working on puzzles. Nothing made Pete happier than spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed taking his grandchildren and special nephews on outings.
Pallbearers will be: Josh Fowler, John Nolan, Jimmy Shewbart, Doug Sims, Kevin Sims and Patrick Trousdale.
The family would like to thank Dr. Amit Choksi, Dr. Dan Skarzynski, Kyle Fortman P.A. and the wonderful ICU nurses, Dr. Quinn and staff, Dr. Lipp and Dr. Robert Bain.
