William Thomas Gooch, Jr.

Mr. William Thomas "Tommy" Gooch Jr., 67, a resident of Bear Creek Pike in the Pottsville Community, died Sunday, May 18, 2003 at his residence.
Graveside memorial services for Mr. Gooch will be conducted Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ring Cemetery with Bobby Sampson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late William Thomas Gooch Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Ring and was formerly married to Thelma Jean Murphy Gooch Roberson of Columbia. He was employed at the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local # 86 and sub-contracted with the TVA in New Johnsonville. Mr. Gooch was a member of the Church of Christ and an avid reader. He served our country in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Gooch is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Michael Greggs of Lewisburg; three sons, William Thomas "Trey" Diana Gooch, III of Murfreesboro, Patrick Janna Gooch of Phoenix, AZ. and Bradford Day Tracy Gooch of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Sharon Frank Lane of Hendersonville; two granddaughters, Deanna Greggs of Lewisburg and Christine Harrison of Murfreesboro; three grandsons, Jared Gooch of Phoenix, AZ, Jason and Derek Harrison both of Murfreesboro; one niece, Chandra Jim Adkins of California; an uncle, James Ring of the Pottsville Community.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Gooch is preceded in death by on brother, Jimmy Joe Gooch.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the International Association of Heat and Frost and Asbestos Workers Local # 86.
