Mr. William Taylor Hatley, age 86, resident of Lynnwood Drive in Columbia and a former resident of Fly Road in Santa Fe, died Sunday at his home.
Funeral services for Mr. Hatley will conducted Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Bro. Artie Collins and Bro. Sonny Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends form 3:00 to 9:00 pm Monday at the funeral Home.
Mr. Hatley was born in Hickman County, son of the late Cecil and Maggie Harrington Hatley and husband of Edna Frances McCoy Hatley. He was a retired laborer from Occidental Chemical Co. and a member of Hilltown Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Hay of Columbia; a son, William Kenneth Hatley of McDonough, Ga.; four grandchildren, Rhonda Kenny Brady of Santa Fe, Michelle Jim Hopkins of Shelbyville, Mickey Pam Hay of Hohenwald and Yvonne Hatley of Columbia.; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Davidson of Centerville; two brothers, James L. "Cooney" Hatley of Centerville and Jobie Hatley of Lake Wales, Fl.; a sister-in-law, Annie McCoy of Culleoka. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Simmons; two brothers, John Calvin and Herbert Hoover Hatley.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearrs will be the members of Hilltown Church of Christ.
