Mr. William ?Bud? Scroggins, 82, a resident of the Stiversville Community, died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Scroggins will be conducted Friday, August 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors being provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Limestone County, Alabama native was the son of the late Willie Elmer and Nellie Gibson Scroggins. He was the husband of the late Floy Wales Scroggins. He was a retired crane operator for Union Carbide Corporation and for many years was a minister of the Church of God of Prophecy in which he was still a member. He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Dennis Carolyn Scroggins of the Stiversville Community and Robby Josephine Scroggins of Shelbyville, TN; ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Billy Patterson, Lois Johnson, and Bertha Mae Charles Clark all of Columbia, TN; two brothers, Lawrence Scroggins and James Nolen Scroggins both of Columbia, TN. He was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Tucker; four brothers, Dean Scroggins, Oscar Scroggins, Elmer scroggins, and L.M. Scroggins.
His grandchildren and their spouses will serve as pallbearers.
