William Roy Lee

December 1, 1929 — January 14, 2010

Mr. William Roy Lee, age 80, a resident of North Main Street in Columbia, passed away on Thursday, January 14, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be conducted Saturday at Jan. 16th 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia Rev. J. D. Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19.

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Born on December 1, 1929 in Hickman County, Mr. Lee was the son of the late Benton and Lucy McCoy Lee and the husband of Blondell Ray Lee of Columbia. He drove a moving van for Victory Van Lines and worked on lawn mowers. Mr. Lee was a member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a daughter: Judith McCall of Columbia;step-children: Charlotte Phillip Rector of Columbia, Sammy Warren of Brentwood, Kenneth Ann Warren and Sheila Thomas of Columbia; grandchildren: Kim and corey Hay, John Linda Rumbaugh and Joel and Melanie Delacruz; step-grandchildren: Heather Thomas, Brittney Nicholas Hill, Nicki Tommy Counts, Chad Rector, Jerri Warren, Brandy Scotty Nelson and Angela Chris Potts; great-grandchild: Bradey Gill; step-great-grandchildren: Brandon Dodge, Lilly Dodge, Caleigh Chalk, Alexia, Alivia and Landon Hill, Brent Sanders, Rachel, John and Walter Rumbaugh, Sebastian Fletcher, Cayden Counts, Kelsey Warren, Damron, Serenity Nelson, Madeline, Matthew and Michael Potts; a sister and a brother: Beulah Lee and Robert Lee of Pulaski; nephews: Ronnie Charlene Thurman of Lewisburg, Richard Pam Thurman of Pulaski and Tony Lee of Pulaski. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Thurman and three brothers, Wayne Lee, Thomas Lee and Alton Lee.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Dodge, Brent Sanders, John Rumbaugh, Chad Rector, Sammy Warren, Nicholas Hill, Larry Ford and Kenneth McNutt.
