William “Lee” Pinkard, age 48, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 in Columbia, Tennessee.
Lee was born November 14th, 1972 to William Irvin Pinkard and Betty Jean Slaughter Mayberry in his hometown of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.
Lee was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and a long-time member of Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. Lee always had an interest in making and building things, especially out of wood. Later in life that interest only grew into a passion, which led him to start his own business, and Pinkard Construction was born. On Lee’s day to day, he always got to do what he loved; creating things with his own hands and the proud sense of accomplishment that comes along with it. Even during his downtime, you could always find him tinkering with new projects and making gifts for his loved ones.
Lee’s proudest accomplishment was his family. He adored his daughters and cared dearly for each one of his family members. He will be so deeply missed by all the lives that he touched.
The family will receive family and friends Monday, November 1st, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. A funeral service for Lee will be held Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with Bro. William Owens officiating. Following, Lee will be taken to his final resting place at Polk Memorial Gardens.
Lee is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Courtney (Alex McKelvy) Pinkard and Haley Pinkard; brothers: Timothy (Christy) Pinkard and Kevin Pinkard; Aunt Linda Pinkard; best friend: Scotty James; stepfather: Johnny Mayberry and several aunts, uncles, niece, nephew, cousins, and a world of friends.
A special and huge thank you to the 3rd Floor- Med/Sug, 2nd Floor- ICU Stepdown, and 5th Floor– Critical Care Unit at Maury Regional Medical Center, and to the Respiratory Therapy Team for your unrelenting care and comfort to Lee during his time.
