William Marshall Schomburg

William "Bill" Marshall Schomburg, died April 17, 2012 at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN, at the age of 88. Bill was born to the late Herbert Heinrich Schomburg and Annie Theodora Kidwell Schomburg on February 9, 1924, in Columbus, Georgia. Bill married Juanita Nita Ruth Herrell on June 2, 1946. Nita passed away in December of 1987.
Bill attended Southern Junior College from 1941-1943. He received a B.A. in Theology, a Masters in Education from Washington Missionary College, and a Masters in Library Science from Catholic University of America. He pastored in West Virginia, taught in Maryland, was librarian at Cedar Lake Academy, MI, was head librarian at Newbold College in England for 9 years, and was a part-time library worker at Southern Adventist University. The last 6 years of his life he lived with his son Lloyd and daughter-in-law Sheila in Lawrenceburg, TN.
He is survived by two sons and their families- Walter Herbert Schomburg, grandson Peter wife Hristina, and great-grandson Ashton, all of Maryland. --William Lloyd Schomburg wife, Sheila Myers Schomburg of Lawrenceburg, TN, grandson Andy Schomburg, granddaughter Susie Schomburg of Chattanooga, TN, and granddaughter Becky Schomburg of Lawrenceburg, TN.
