William L. "Termite" Massie

William L. Massie was born January 20, 1942 in Davidson County, the son of the late Clarence Massie and Berdie Bass Massie. William was the owner of Massie Drywall and Sheet Rock for over 30 years. He was an avid ham radio operator and would best be known by his handle of "Termite".
Survivors include his children, Connie Eddie Prince of Columbia, Timmy Jennifer Massie of Columbia, Tina Merrow of Lewisburg, Michael Paula Massie of Mt. Pleasant, Tracy Gray of Ohio and Misty Sullivan of Columbia; grandchildren, Melissa Sullivan, Chasity Smith, Leslie Massie, Kelton Massie, Chris Merrow, Trevor Merrow, Heaven Massie, Heather Massie, Jerry Gray, William Gray, Houston Love, Brandy Love, Bianca Love, Jesse James, Anthony James, Emily James and Matthew Kennedy; 14 Great-grandchildren;sisters and brothers, Shirley Matheny, Wilma Henson, Lucille Day, Joyce Day, Judy Sawyer, Charles Massie and Justin Massie. William was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky M. Love, a brother, George Massie and a sister, Frances Baldwin.
William passed away on Monday, November 14, at his residence in the Sandy Hook Community.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 4:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Kelton Massie, William Gray, Houston Love, Trevor Merrow, Jesse James, Anthony James, Chris Merrow, Richard Clark, Darryl Clark and Bradley Clark.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Potts and all of his 'CB" buddies.
