William Kirby White

Mr. William Kirby White, age 95, a resident of the Fly-Water Valley Community, passed away on Sunday, November 22, at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. White will be conducted Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Mike Williams and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will follow in Santa Fe Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was born September 6, 1914, son of the late William Joshua and Alice Bell Tyler White and the husband of Maudie Adell Potts White, for 72 years and 11 months. Mr. White worked as a devoted dairy farmer, construction worker, and enjoyed coon hunting. He had also worked for the Southern Livestock Barn. He was a member of the Water Valley Church of Christ, where he had served as an elder for many years.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, include his daughter: Betty Shouse, sons: Bernis Ann Martin White, L.G. Edith White, Fred A. White; grandchildren: Bonnie Danny Lunn, Bev Thomason, Byron Lisa White, Timmy Lori White, Teresa Perry Johnson, Julie Brad Amstutz, Landon Megan White, Bert Christy White; great grandchildren: Destiny Hazlett, Tyler Lunn, Zak Lunn, Brandon Julie Dodson, Joshua Thomason, Daniel White, Jessica White, David White, Andrew White, Tabitha Johnson, Brianna Johnson, Blake Williams, Rachel Williams, Madison Amstutz, Lucas Amstutz, Cameron White, Noah White, Samantha White, Jillian White, Callyn White; great-great grandchildren: Hailey Hazlett, Austin Hazlett, Kaleb Hazlett, Riley Dodson and Adelyn Dodson; several nieces and nephews. Mr. White was preceded in death by grandchildren: Betsy Lee Shouse, Christopher Lynn White and Angel Lauren White; a son-in-law: Bobby Shouse; brothers: Mitchell White and Wesley White; sisters: Callie Oakley, Louelle Daniels, Eva Victory, Willie Potts, Addie Beard, Eunie Anglin, Mandy Harris and Emmie Gordon.
Pallbearers will be Danny Lunn, Perry Johnson, Timmy White, Brandon Dodson, Landon White, Josh Thomason, David White, and Casey Favor. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel White, Byron White, Bert White, Andrew White and members of the Water Valley Church of Christ.
Memorials may be made to the Santa Fe Cemetery Fund in care of Norman Harris, 3929 Sowell Hollow Road, Columbia, TN 38401.
