William “Chief” V. Knight, age 68, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Life Care Center of Columbia.
Bill was born on August 14, 1945 to the late Albert and Joan Lablanc Knight in Sarasota, Florida. Bill and Mary Waldrop were married on December 31, 1992. He was an iron worker for all his life. Bill loved to play golf with his friends. He loved the ocean, but Tennessee was his home, especially the golf courses.
A celebration of life for Bill will be held on Monday, June 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends prior to the memorial service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Mary Knight, son Keith Kelley, daughter-in-law Tonia Kelley of Mt. Pleasant, and grandson Evan Kelley of Mt. Pleasant.
Memorials can be made in Chief’s honor to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1212 Columbia, Tennessee 38402-1212.
