William Bryant Holden, Jr.

Mr. William Bryant "Billy" Holden, Jr., age 70, a resident of Ricketts Mill Road in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral services for Mr. Holden will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Hueston Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 4:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was born on July 18, 1939, the son of the late William Bryant Holden, Sr., and Geneva Gilliam Holden. He was the husband of Jennie "Polly" Farris Holden of Mt. Pleasant. Billy was a retired dairy farmer and loved his farm, caring for his horses and his two dogs. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his children: Lisa Scott Greene of Culleoka and Randy Angie Holden of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Taylor Greene, Brian Greene, Elizabeth Holden, Rebecca Holden and Matthew Holden; two brothers: Larry Doyce Holden and Joe Carol Holden, both of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be Harry Rail, Tommy Nicholson, Jimmy Curry, William Holden, Derrek Boyd, Mike Holden and Taylor Greene. Cousins will serve as honorary pallbearers.
