William Boyd Morton

Mr. William Boyd Morton, 64, a resident of Hodge Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, June 2, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Services for Mr. Morton will be Thursday June 5, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with C.V. Robinson and David Kersey officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.at the funeral home.
The Hickman County native was the son of the late Elbert and Ethel Malugin Morton and the husband of Betty Lou Davis Morton. Mr. Morton was retired from Harris Trucking and a member of Halls Chapel Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Morton is survived by four daughters, Dale Gary Ragsdale and Diana DeRidder both of Mt. Pleasant, Audry Donnie Crittenden of Collinwood, TN and Sandy Gary Hunter of Henrietta, TN; two sons, Donnie Nancy Isabell of Columbia and Scotty Melaine Isabell of Mt. Pleasant; four brothers, L.B. Gayle Morton of Shady Grove, Charles Hensley Norma Morton of Summertown, Wayne Dawn Morton of Columbia, and James Paul Peggy Morton of Mt. Pleasant; two sisters, Annie Ruth Jay Davis of Chapmansboro, TN and Linda Lucille Tommy Hedrick of Columbia; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Mr. Morton is preceded in death by a son, Donnie Boyd Morton and two sisters, Ruby Mohrmann and Pauline Blair.
Pallbearers will be Ray Odom, Mike Chaptman, Barry Hodge, Michael Workman, Eddie Morton, Randall Wright, Butler Nichols and Daniel Cummins.
Honorary Pallbearers will the members of the Halls Chapel Church of Christ.
