William Dewayne Booker of Columbia passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. William was born on May 29, 1959 to the late Russell Booker and Delores Scruggs Booker in Columbia.
He was known as a jokester and always kept everyone smiling. William loved the lord and was a minister for 25 years. Family man, never met a stranger, people person, and over all a great man as his family would describe Mr. Booker. He was a huge Atlanta Braves Fan that loved to watch baseball. He also loved to watch football.
Funeral Services for Mr. Booker will be conducted on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at White Springs Church in Columbia with Christopher Norwood officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Sunday October 2, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.at the church.
Survivors include his daughters, Deleshia (Fiancé Alvin Childress) Booker and Shadrika Booker; Brothers, Carl Booker, James Fleming, and Howard (Mary Ann) Fleming; Sister, Marie Phillips; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Marcell Campbell. He is preceded in death by his wife, Andrea Booker.
