Mr. William "Bill" Hale, age 49, a resident of Bryant Road in Columbia, passed away on Saturday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services for Bill will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Columbus, OH.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born on June 2, 1960 in Columbus, OH, Bill was the son of Billy D. and Barbara George Hale of Columbus, OH. He was the husband for 23 years of Denise Frazier Hale of Columbia. Bill had been with General Motors Corp. for 31 years as a Op Tech. He enjoyed running and cooking and had a great love for Ohio State University football. By far the greatest love of his life was his family and spending every available moment with them. The highlights of his life were the day he watched his son, Ryan walk out on the OSU football field as the Strength and Conditioning coach with the Buckeyes and next the day he got the news that his daughter, Brittany became the tour assistant for Dierks Bentley. Bill was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Denise and children: Brittany Gearheart Hale of Murfreesboro and Ryan Gearheart Hale of Ypsilanti, MI; two brothers: Greg Hale and Chris Hale and one sister: Missy Compton, all of Columbus, OH.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Gearheart, Greg Hale, Chris Hale, Jeff George, Michael George, Mark George, Matt George and John Cakmis. Honorary pallbearers will be John George and Greg Paxton.
