William Ellis Bentley, age 67, passed away on October 3, 2021, surrounded by family at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee. His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, William always talked about the goodness of God and stayed strong until the end.
He was born to Johnny and Mary “Adams” Bentley on April 29, 1954. After graduating from high school, William paved his own path in the world. He was a nomad at heart with an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities.
William loved traveling around and sharing the Good News of Jesus with everyone he met. He encouraged all he came in contact with to love God and spread love to others. He will be remembered for his great passion for music. You could usually find him writing new songs or dancing around at the kitchen table with his family. He was a constant source of light, joy, and happy tunes. He did things in his own way and created opportunities for others to do the same.
