William "Bill" Ambrose

Mr. William B. “Bill” Ambrose, age 90, of Culleoka, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Bill was born February 11, 1927 in Maury County, the son of the late Willie and Lillie Staggs Ambrose. He was the husband of Edna Anderson Ambrose, who preceded him in death on July 13, 2016. Bill was a farmer and enjoyed the land. In his younger years, he was an avid coon hunter. Bill always took care of his family.

Survivors include one son, David Ambrose of Culleoka; granddaughter, Amber (Jamie) Barron of Virginia Beach, VA; great-grandchildren, Kaelee, Karson and Kaitlyn Barron; one brother, Bobby (Louise) Ambrose of Summertown and one sister, Wanda (Eddie) Holloway of Columbia along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Kenneth Ambrose.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home In Columbia with Troy Dugger officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ray Morrow, Barry Anderson, Clark Anderson, Mike Anderson, Tommy Anderson, Steve Anderson, Ronnie Ring and Gene Ring. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the Culleoka Community.
