William Allison "Al" Allen, age 83, passed away on April 18, 2021, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN.
William was born on September 25, 1937, in Maury County to the late John Harvey and Tempie Rochelle Allen.
When William was a young boy, he met the love of his life in 1st grade and knew one day she would become Mrs. Allen. On December 15th, 1955, William made his dreams come true and married his lifelong best friend, Maude Lee Ashmore, and have been blessed with spending 65 memorable years together. They raised four amazing, rambunctious boys and they lightened up their lives. William enjoyed the simple things in life, he always sat back and enjoyed God's Creation around him. He spent his days of relaxation fishing from morning to night at Cane Creek, and showed his trade to all of his sons, and built memories that they will never forget.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 20th, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A service will be held on Wednesday, April 21st, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel, with Frank Webb officiating. Family will receive friends an hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life at Polk Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Columbia, TN.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Allen, Wesley Allen, Brandon Allen, Kendell Lee Allen, Ronnie Allen, and Michael Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jennifer Scales, Crystal Cates, and Kimberly Bunch.

William is preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Harry Allen, Jimmy Allen, and Nancy Allen; grandchild: Anthony Allen; and great-grandchild: Brendon Scott.
William is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Maude L. Allen; children: Richard (Pat) Allen, Mickey (Debbie) Allen, Danny Allen, Gary (Sonya) Allen; grandchildren: Jennifer (Lee) Scales, Crystal (Daniel) Cates, Brandon Allen, Kimberly Bunch, Wesley Allen, Kendell Allen, Taylor (Anna Catherine) Allen, Adam Allen, Kristen (Mitch) Wright, Kelley (Ronnie) Ezell, and Matthew Moen; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchild; brothers: Jerry Allen and Steve (Kathy) Allen; and several nieces and nephews.
