Mr. Willard Perry "Red" Oliver, 71 , formerly of West 13th Street in Columbia, died Friday, March 21, 2003 at his residence in Cave City, Kentucky.
Funeral services for Mr. Oliver will be conducted Sunday, March 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Reverend Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Gibsonville Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10:00 am. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Giles County native was the son of the late W. Morgan and Gerthey Alice Foster Oliver. He was the husband of the late Barbara Rutledge Oliver who died in 1996. He was retired from Publix Shirt Factory and member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Shelia Rickey B. Hodge of Columbia, TN and Mecie Danny Hatcher of Cave City, Kentucky; three sons, Perry Debbie Oliver of Columbia, TN, Neal Cynthia Oliver of Culleoka, TN, and Roger Christine Oliver of Cave City, KY; a brother, Johnnie B. Oliver of Columbia, TN; twelve grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Oliver; a grandson, Roger Lee Oliver; three brothers, Bill Oliver, James Oliver, and Cleve Oliver.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Wade Hodge, Billy Jack Hodge, Jason Oliver, Bradley Oliver, Darrell Cates, Donald Hodge, Michael Oliver, and Jonathan Oliver.
