Mr. Wendell W. Hawks, age 68, a resident Scott Town Rd in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Sunday, January 3, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services for Mr. Hawks will be conducted Tuesday at 10 A.M. at Godwin Chapel Cemetery with Rick Points officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Monday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Born on February 5, 1941 in Williamson County, Tennessee, Wendell was the son of the late Charles and Annie Idell Smith Hawks. He was a self-employed carpenter and very talented with wood. Wendell served our country in the United Stated Army 101 First Airborne during the VietnamWar. He was of Baptist Faith.
Survivors include a son: Corey W. JazminHawks of Sevierville, TN; two sisters, Mary Estes of Frankin and Bessie Walker of Fairview; a grandson, Corey Alexander Hawks of Sevierville, TN; specials friends, Brenda Thompson of Columbia, Brenda Waterman of Mt. Pleasant, Charles and Gloria Roberts of Summertown and Bruce and Diane Bridges of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by a special friend, Dorothy Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Willie Joe Wilcox and Michael "Radar" Wilcox.
