Waymond "Bill" Brewer

Mr. Waymond ?Bill? Brewer, 71, a resident of Napier Dr. in Columbia, died Thursday, October 7, 2004 at his home
Funeral services for Mr. Brewer will be conducted Saturday, October 9, 2004, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. William Owens and Jerry Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Born in Lewis County, he was the son of the late George Washington and Carrie McClain Brewer and husband of JoAnn Huggins Brewer. He was a retired operator from Occidental. He coached farm league baseball and little league baseball for 32 years in Mt. Pleasant and was a veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Terry Shawn Brewer of Mt. Pleasant, Paula Potts of Columbia and Tim Beth Brewer of Columbia; six grandchildren, Haley Brewer Pugh of Mt. Pleasant, Trevor Casey Brewer of Columbia, Tyler Brewer of Starkville, MS, Jonathon Potts of Columbia, Brennan Willingham of Columbia and Holly Anne Brewer of Columbia; three great grandchildren, Carley Pugh of Mt. Pleasant, Hayden Brewer Pugh of Mt. Pleasant and Kylie Mae Brewer of Columbia; two brothers, Raymond ?Blackie? JoAnn Brewer of Mt. Pleasant and Ted Brewer of Wyandotte, MI; a sister, Mary Sue Arthur Hooper of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nenie Henson and a brother, Herman Brewer.
Pallbearers will be Shane McNeece, Terry Boshers, Jay Green, Duane York, Jerry Hooper, Dr. Mike Brewer, Johnny Henson and David Henson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hayes, Terry Potts, Steve Puffer, William Poole, Jimmy Rivers, Dennis Davis, Randall Woodard, Runway Market Employees and the Coffee Club Members, Employees and Retirees of Occidental Chemical, the past and present Coaches and players of Coach ?Bill?.
Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Dixie Youth League, % Jerry Roberts, 213 Iris Dr., Mt. Pleasant or to the Hospice of the Highland Rim, 2014 Elmer Pogue Dr., Columbia, TN 38401.
