Walter "Owen" Dale

Walter Owen Dale, age 82, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Owen was born on September 24, 1933 in Maury County to Walter E. Dale and Pauline Moore Dale. He married Miss Modean Mayberry on August 11, 1960. They shared fifty-five years together. From 1954 – 1956, Owen served his country in the United States Army. Owen was a man who always had to constantly be at work. He worked and retired from the maintenance department at Winning Moves. Owen loved to be outside and hunting, especially deer hunting.
The family will visit with friends on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 2:30 in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Polk Memorial Mausoleum.
Owen is survived by his wife Modean Mayberry Dale of Mt. Pleasant; son Troy (Caroline) Dale; grandchildren Steven (Crystal) Dale, Matt Dale, Heather Dale, and Becky Dale; brother Paul Dale; sisters Pauline Zwieg and Sharon Silvey; and great-grandchild Sophia Dale.
Owen was preceded in death by his parents Walter E. Dale and Pauline Moore Dale, son Greg Dale, brother Marvin Dale, and sister Faye Dickens.
Pallbearers will be Terry Shelby, Millard Dale, Bill Walters, and Michael Kelly.
