Walter Scott Cain, MD, age 88, of Columbia, passed away on September 2, 2016 at NHC Hillview in Columbia.
Dr. Cain was born on June 12, 1928 in Nashville, Tennessee to Byrd Douglas Cain and Margaret Jordan. He served honorably in the United States Navy. He was a pediatric thoracic surgeon at hospitals in Tennessee and Alabama.
Dr. Cain is survived by his daughter: Margaret Cain and his brother: Byrd Cain. He was preceded in death by his parents.
