Vivian Joyce Shomo, age 73, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away at Magnolia Health and Rehab on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
Vivian was born on October 4, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to Lester Leroy and Annie B. Odom Chapman. She worked for Ford Motor Company for several years. Also, she lived for a time in Canada, but returned to her home state in later life. Vivian was a very funny person to be around, and always did what she could to bring laughter to those around her. She loved her children and grandchildren. She loved playing the card game, Hand and Foot, and would play for hours with her family any chance she got. She loved farming, but shopping was especially a joy for her. She was a member of Summertown Church of Christ.
Vivian is survived by her children: Arttis Leroy (Amy) Pitts, Angela Lynn Johnson, and Bobby Wayne (Veronica) Pitts; grandchildren: Daniel (Rebecca) May, Kimberly (David) Cotton, Alyssa Pitts, Jeffrey Michael Koening, Jenna Johnson, and Cheyenne; great-grandchildren: Keirstin Stovall, Bentley Hawkins, Addison May, Austin Lewis, Adrian Price; and brothers: James (Rosemary) Chapman and George (Jimmy Faye) Chapman.
The family will celebrate Vivian’s life at a later date.
