Virginia Swan Lovett

April 24, 1929 — August 12, 2005

Mrs. Carrie Virginia Josephine Swan Lovett, 76, a resident of Elk Ridge Road in the Spencer Hill Community, died Friday, August 12, 2005 at her home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lovett will be conducted Monday, August 15, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Randy McNeece and Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Spencer Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Charlie and Maggie Ilene Vandygriff Swan and wife of Edward James Lovett. She was a retired seamstress from Publix Manufacturing, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, who always prepared lunch for her family on Sundays. She was an avid gardener, loved sewing and quilting, and a sports fan. She was a faithful church member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Sandy Danny Wood, Charlene Mike Craig and Lisa Marty Cummins, all of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Delmer Wade Alice Lovett, Ted Alton Barbara Lovett, both of Columbia and Carl Edward Cathy Lovett of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Carolyn Wagner of Edwardsburg, MI; a brother, Charlie Wayne
Maryellen Swan of Mt. Pleasant; 15 grandchildren, Donna, Beth, Marty, Scott, Brian, Kelly, Greg, Shree, Kevin, Alan, Blake, Carrie, Samantha, Adam and Bubba; 17 great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jamie, Caleb, Alexis, Nicholas, Brandon, Ashtin, Preston, Mary Catherine, Ethan, Morgan, Areyanna, Jaida, Rebecca, Lane, Marissa and Addyson; one great great grandchild, Austin.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be men of the Spencer Hill Church of Christ.
