Mrs. Virginia Potter Parker, age 86, resident of Columbia, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2011, at Life Care Center in Columbia.
A memorial service for Mrs. Parker will be conducted Thursday at 5:30 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Bob Adair officiating.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 3:00-5:30 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Virginia was born on March 16, 1925 in Clarksville, TN, the daughter of Mrs. Frances Powers Potter of Dover, TN and the late Louis Potter. She was the wife of the late Howard Parker. She was a preschool teacher for a number of years and loved all children. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her mother include her son: Howard Jean Parker of Columbia; two granddaughters: Laura Tony Powers of Columbia and Annie Jeff Brown of Spring Hill; one great-grandson: Luke Worsham; two brothers: Robert Potter of Dover and Ted Potter of Nashville; a sister: Ruth Ellis of Clarksville.
