Virgil Ray McCluggage Sr., age 70, a resident of Lawrenceburg passed away Thursday June 6, 2013 in his home surrounded by family.
Virgil was born on March 26, 1943 in Lawrence County to the late Walter and Vona McCluggage. Virgil was a talented masonry contractor. He was an avid fisherman, spending any time he could on the water. Virgil was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a loving father and grandfather.
A memorial service will be held in his honor Saturday June 15th at Salem Church of Christ in Lawrenceburg, TN beginning at 11:00 a.m.
Virgil is survived by his two sons: Ray (Heather) McCluggage of Columbia and Mike (Liz) McCluggage of Leoma; Eight Grandchildren: Mike, Cayla, Rebekah, Peggy, Ellise, Trey, Kelsey, Cameron and Michaela. Two Sisters: Doris French of Nashville and Shirley Sturgis of McComb, MI; Two Brothers: W.T. McCluggage Jr., of Lawrenceburg and Wallace McCluggage of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by two sisters Opal McClain and Joyce Dean McCluggage.
