Virgie Williams Carroll

Mrs. Virgie Williams Carroll, 88, a resident of Harris Street in Columbia , died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be conducted, Saturday July 17, 2004 at 2:30 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Oliver Pantall officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James and Nannie Getrude Jones Williams. She was the widow of Ross Carroll. Mrs. Carroll was a former long-time resident of Nashville and a employee of American Linen Company on Charlotte Avenue in Nashville. She loved gardening and sewing and was member of the Highland Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Lloyd Anderson of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Anthony Jean Anderson of Lafayette, TN, Michael Dolores Anderson of Parsons, TN and Joanna John Horst of Hendersonville, TN; great-grandchildren, James Anderson of Tueson, AZ, Melissa Barry Autry of Parsons, TN , Tracie Bryan Crawford of Sanders, KY and Michael Steven Anderson, II of Parsons, TN; great-great-grandchildren, Alex Autry, Colton Stone Autry and Presley Jean Autry; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death two sisters, Cornelia Parsley and Mae Maddin; two brothers, Joe Williams and Floyd Williams.

Pallbearers will be Michael Anderson, Anthony Anderson, Steven Anderson, John Horst, Richard Green, Barry Autry and Bryan Crawford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Nurses & staff of North Wing at Columbia Care and Rehabilitation Center and Dr. Douglas Kennedy.
