Violet Thompson Barkay

Mrs. Violet Thompson Barkay, 78, a resident of Parkview Drive in Columbia, TN and formerly of Imperial, PA, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006 at NHC/Columbia Health Care.
Funeral services for Mrs. Barkay will be conducted Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Turner Funeral Home. 500 6th Street in Ellwood, PA. Burial will be in the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park in Rochester, PA. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia, TN in charge of local arrangements.
Born in Ellwood, PA, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Bessie McNany Thompson and wife of the late Elmer A. Barkay. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Dale Larry Kibler of Columbia, TN and Billie Jo Fritzley of Moon, PA; a sister, Lois Young of Ellwood, PA; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Thompson and Robert Thompson.
Pallbearers will be family members.
