Violet Adele Prosser, age 94, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, at Morning Points Assisted Living in Columbia.
Violet was born on July 22, 1924 in Hickman County, the daughter of the late Will E. Nall and Annie Riley Nall. She was the wife of the late Roy W. Prosser. Violet had worked in the Meat Department for several grocery stores, including Kroger, Giant Food, and Piggly Wiggly.
Some of the happiest times were spent with her husband, Roy, stationed in Hawaii during WWII before his passing at the age of 42. She loved and raised her two sons in a strong and Godly way with the help of her mother, Annie Nall. She was a forthright person but filled with compassion. Violet was a loving grandmother and her grandbabies were her world. She lived a long life filled with many wonderful experiences, driving until the age of 93. She is deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Violet was a member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Columbia.
Survivors include her sons, Roy “Butch” (Lynda) Prosser and Mike (Lynn) Prosser, both of Columbia; grandchildren, Kimberly (Robert) Shelton, Leigh (Mike) Parsons; great-grandchildren, Bailey Parsons, Jaylin Parsons, Mason Shelton, Lola Shelton and Jaxson Shelton.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy W. Prosser and her brothers Carlton Nall and Will Nall.
