Mrs. Verna Wagers, 82, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Carolyn LaMar.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wagers will be conducted Thursday, April1, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Richmond, Ind. Burial will follow in the Earlham Cemetery in Richmond.
Born in LaJunior, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Loyd and Liza Collins and wife of the late Jimmy Wagers, Sr. She was a homemaker and teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church in Richmond, Ind.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn LaMar of Lawrenceburg, Tn., Carol Creech of Plano, Tx. and Joan Opiela of Dallas, Tx; three sons, Jimmy Wagers, Jr. of Dallas, Tx., Jerry Wagers of Los Angles, Ca. and Gordon Wagers of Georgetown, Tx.; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim, 2014 Elmer Pogue Dr., Columbia, Tn. 38401
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of local arrangements.
