Mrs. Velma Maxwell McGuire, 83, passed away at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab on Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Velma was born in Hillham, Tennessee on November 25, 1928 to the late Claude Maxwell and the late Louisa Harper Maxwell. She was married to William McGuire for 42 years until he preceded her in death. She will be laid to rest beside him at Memorial Park in Anderson, IN at a later date.
She loved painting, animals and farming. However, most of all, she was crazy about her grandchildren.
Mrs. McGuire is survived by her only son: David and his wife Sandy McGuire, Sr., her grandchildren: David Tricia McGuire, Jr. Shannon Tony Watters, Jamie Will Highers and 10 great-grandchildren. She also has one on the way. Additionally, she is survived by her siblings: James Maxwell, Sue Givens and Janice Carter who are all from Cookeville, Tennessee.
