Mrs. Valerie ?Val? Sellers, age 68, a resident of Hairston Court in Columbia, passed away on Monday, December 10 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sellers will be conducted Friday at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Bob Vasser and Rev. Terry Peery officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born in Chatham, Kent, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Roseanna Calvert Cockrill and wife of J. Roy Sellers. She was retired from Wal-mart in customer services and a member of Pleasant heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Kim Alan Hughes and Kellie Sellers, both of Columbia; sons, Mark Donna Sellers of Chatham, England and Wayne Brenda Sellers of Lynnville; grandchildren, Adam and Darren Hughes, Kelsey, Holly, Kai, Chelsea, Bradley and Dustin Sellers and Brittany Fallin; brothers, John Cockrill, Bill Cockrill, Gerald Cockrill, Fred Cockrill, Ronald Cockrill and Malcolm Cockrill; sisters, June Patterson, Pauline Calvert, Linda Hawkes and Jackie Hedges. She was preceded in death by Laura Calvert, Brenda Farmer and Sylvia Cockrill.
Pallbearers will be Russ Allen, Trevor Cayce, Kyle Cheek, Berry Dooley, Jim Brady and Lonnie Lyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Albert Lentz, Barry Crotzer, Tim Potts, George Hanvy, Kenny Brady, Ray Messick, Michelle Jones, Leroy Hill, Don Rose, Andre Martin, Detectives and N&V Divisions of the Columbia Police Dept., Maury Co. Sheriff?s Dept., TN. Highway Patrol, past and present employees of Wal-mart.
