Valerie Ann Fitzpatrick

December 4, 1949 — April 23, 2014

Ms. Valerie Ann Lowe Fitzpatrick, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Ann was the daughter of the late Leonard Lowe and the late Ollie Cloyd Lowe and was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee on December 4, 1949. She was a phlebotomist - lab tech at Maury Regional Hospital for over 10 years. She worked at Hidden Acres for several years before joining Dr. Worthman, Dr. Jameson, Dr. Messenger and Dr. Woodley to continue her work as a phlebotomist - lab head. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Ms. Fitzpatrick is survived by her sons: Garland Fitzpatrick of Columbia and James Fitzpatrick, Jr. of Nashville; grandchildren: Darius Fitzpatrick, Skyler Alaimio and Nazzra Fitzpatrick; siblings: Reba Frierson of Mt. Pleasant, Mildred Church of Columbia and Halmon Lowe of Nashville; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings: Ollie Monnettee Havis, Leonard Edward Lowe Jr., and Marjorie Vester.

Funeral services for Ann will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Burn Springs Church of Christ, 407 W. 9th St., Columbia, TN. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday, April 29 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again from 1 pm until time for the service, both at the church.
