Travis Robert Patterson

Travis Robert Patterson, age 40, a resident of Oakview Drive in Columbia, passed away on Sunday, March 25, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services for Robert will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Ezell Rose and James Dickey officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 ? 9:00 P.M. Tuesday and Wednesday at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
The Maury Co. native was the son of Shirley Burns Patterson of Columbia and the late Travis Sargent Patterson. He was the husband of Rebecca Rodgers Patterson of Columbia, whom he married on December 5, 1985. He was a 1984 graduate of Columbia Central High School. His family owned and operated Sarge?s Cycles for 22 years where he was currently employed as General Manager. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He promoted several Motocrosses and The Mid-South Hare Scramble Series. He was the 2006 Open A Grand National Cross Country Champion and held multiple Motocross Racing titles for many years.
In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by two sons: Cody Robert Patterson and Jacob Sargent Patterson, both of Columbia; one daughter: Chelsea Patterson of Columbia; one sister: Marilyn Patterson of Columbia; one brother: Michael Karen Patterson of Spring Hill; two nephews: Danny Patterson and Nate Patterson, both of Spring Hill; father-in-law: Johnny Rodgers of Culleoka; one brother-in-law: John Rodgers, Jr., of Culleoka and one sister-in-law: Lacy Rodgers of Crossville; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be J.P. Patterson, Ben Woody, Craig Harris, Todd Lovett, Brad Bradley, J.T. Lunn, Mike Skaggs, Jeff Estes, Doug Hayes and Kevin Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Burns, Donnie Burns, Ricky Patterson, David Burns, Jason Burns, James Burns, Mark Hosbach, Jason Russell, Keith Harris, Greg Tucker, Ricky Miller, Harry Miller, Eddie King, Billy Winn, Ronald Dunnavant, Darrell Jones, Darrel Mazoline, Ron Ladd, Craig Humphrey, Jeff Rummage and Phil Stanfill.
Memorials may be made to the Riverview Baptist Church parking lot fund.
