Tony Brett Curtis was born September 10, 1983 in Maury County. Brett was a Tennessee Vols football fan and loved to fish. As a musician, he also played banjo and drums. He was working for Doss Construction Company in Lawrenceburg. Brett was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God.
Brett is survived by his parents, Tony Brenda Curtis of Summertown and Tamarah Lee Green of Leoma; one brother, Alton Derrick Curtis of Leoma; three step-sisters, Charity Terry Lovett and Cayce Patrick Sims, both of Mt. Pleasant and Candace Rean Henderson of Summertown; a nephew, Derrick Braden Curtis of Lawrenceburg and several other nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Irene Jimmy Davis of Mt. Pleasant. Brett was preceded in death by grandparents, Ben Curtis, Ruth Green, Alton Green and Janette Powers.
Brett passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Donald Goodrum officiating. Burial will follow in the Summertown Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Hughes, Rean Henderson, Terry Lovett, Patrick Sims, Phillip Vandiver and Keith Curtis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kip Hughes, Kurt Hughes, Jessie Price, Terry Curtis, Will Davis and Vicki Wood.
