Mrs. Tonie Workman Bowen, 63, a resident of Campbellsville Road in Giles County, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bowen will be conducted Thursday, April 4, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with David Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Blowing Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. and all day Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Maggie Woods Workman. She was the widow of Walter Bowen who died in December of 2001. She was retired as an LPN at Maury Regional Hospital and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Donna Mike Campbell of Lynnville and Lorrie Danny Martin of Mt. Pleasant; 2 sons, Randy Jeanette Bowen of Pulaski and Wendell Heather Bowen of Columbia; 10 Grandchildren and 1 Great grandchild; 6 sisters, Laura Nichols, Sarah White, and Barbara Runions of Mt. Pleasant, Oklean Hanvy of Ashland City, Janie "Linda" Kerr of Lawrenceburg, and Janet Faye Lanier of Ethridge; 1 brother, Tildon Workman of Mt. Pleasant; She was preceded in death by a son, Sammy Bowen; 3 sisters, Pearl Scott, Elizabeth Workman, and Felie Ragsdale; 1 brother, Robert I. Workman.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
