Tommy Lee Wood

Mr. Tommy Lee Wood, age 76, a resident of Clauson Drive in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Wood will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at the Ebenezer Church with Rev. Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Blowing Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the church. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of arrangements.
The Maury County native was the son the late John Luther and Dorothy Mae Workman Wood. He was the husband of Margaret Isabell Wood of Columbia. Mr. Wood was retired from Floyd and Floyd as a welder. He was a member of the Ebenezer Church.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons: Barton Wood of Dearborn Heights, MI and Rickey Wood of Mich.; one daughter: Catherine Newcomb of Mt. Pleasant; step-children: Samuel Stewart of Ft. Worth, TX, Malcomb Stewart of Columbia, Sandra Wood of Phoenix, AZ and Dotty Dickerson of Shelbyville, TN; one brother: Vicky Elaine Wood of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Amanda Newcomb of Mt. Pleasant and Paul Newcomb of Columbia; Mr. Wood was also expecting his first great-grandchild in the near future; 19 step-grandchildren, 19 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and J.L. Wood and two sisters: Arlene Wood and Dordeen Staggs.
Pallbearers will be Eric Thurman, Phillip Bolton, Bryant Wood, Steven wood, Dustin Stewart and Paul Newcomb.
